Defining Diversity

A diverse-owned business is one that is owned and operated by individuals from historically marginalized groups. In order to be considered diverse-owned, at least 51% of the business must be owned, operated, managed, and controlled by people from these groups.

The definition of diversity may vary from one country to another, and it is important to comply with the local legal and cultural frameworks of each geography. Below are some of the largest governing bodies for Supplier Diversity in the United States and around the world.
